HELIDECK FOAM SYSTEM
DIFFS (DECK INTEGRATED FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM)
DIFFS (DECK INTEGRATED FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM)
The Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System (DIFFS) is used to extinguish fires on a Helideck, in both the Helicopter as well as a hydrocarbon pool-fire on the deck. The DIFFS consists of a deluge valve skid with foam, connected to a distribution pipe work with a number of pop-up spray nozzles.
The pop-up spray nozzles are installed in the helideck, flush with the surface of the deck. When the system is activated, the water pressure activates the nozzles, whereby the nozzle baffle will be forced to lift, and spraying water in a semi-sphere. This allows coverage of up to 7 metre diameter per nozzle.
The Deck Integrated Fire Fighting system (DIFFS) is made as standard with the deluge skid. With optional enclosure in stainless steel 316 with heater for freezing environment.
The pipe work and valve material can be customised to customer's specification in:
FIXED MONITOR SYSTEM (FMS)
Helideck Foam Fire Extinguishing System is designed as per the standards such as CAP 437, NFPA 418,NMD & NORSOK. The system consists of Fixed Foam Monitors provided at the exit of Helideck, Foam Tank, Foam Hose Reel Unit and the Nozzle.
Our product complies with the latest requirements of the CAP 437, we have made further development on the Fixed foam system with in-line foam injector, FIREMIKS – Foam Dosing System.

- FOAM BLADDER TANK SYSTEM
This consists of foam bladder tank, foam ratio controller, Fire monitors (Manual / Self-Oscillating / Remote control), and no foam liquid pump is required. Foam bladder tank works on the upstream fire water to pressurize the bladder tank to inject the foam to the foam ratio controller.
- FOAM PUMP SYSTEM
This consists of Foam Liquid Pump, Pump controller, Balanced Pressure Foam Proportioner, atmospheric foam tank and Fire monitors (Manual / Self-Oscillating / Remote control). System activated via remote push buttons to activate foam pump and the actuated valve. Foam liquid is injected to the balanced pressure proportioner to the correct mix of either 1% or 3% with 99% or 97% of water respectively.
DUAL AGENT UNIT
Our Dual Agent unit is designed to operate manually & remotely to extinguish fire by discharging foam / water and dry chemical powder at the same time or one at the time.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
FOAM SYSTEM
This is a unit, which is based on connection to the platform Fire Water ring main system. The correct mixing of foam is achieved through an In-Line Foam Inductor. Foam concentrate capacity in tank is 300L.
The foam hose on the hose reel is 32mm (1 1/4 inch).
DRY CHEMICAL SYSTEM
The dry chemical system consists of a storage tank for powder and an N2 expellant gas cylinder. A manual release valve is installed on the N2 cylinder valve. The tank is charged with 250 kg of powder. When the manual release valve is operated, N2 will pressurize the dry chemical system quickly, giving an initial shock of the dry chemical and functioning as an expellant during discharge.
The tank is equipped with a pressure safety valve, a fill cap and a pressure indicator.
- Helideck to meets NMD, NORSOK & CAP 437 Requirement
- Offloading Areas of FSO / FPSO (BLS) / Oil Tankers / Shuttle Tankers
- Process Area where containing Hydrocarbons & Flammable Liquids
